The importance of BJJ or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can be understood only if you are familiar with UFC, which is the World cup or Olympics in the field of MMA.

UFC was created by a BJJ clan and Royce Gracie was crowned Ultimate Fighting Championship’s first-ever undisputed champion of the world in the open weight category with almost no rules and no rounds and no weight category. Royce Gracie used BJJ to defeat guys who were, in fact, twice his size.

Using the same modus operandi, Taponomics was able to get the same results in Kolkata. The name Taponomics itself suggests the art of tapping out someone, just as economics is the study of economy.

Taponomics lays huge emphasis on its students and constantly encourages them to learn BJJ and compete in State, National and Asian grappling championships. Some of our past members have actually won medals in all three levels for consecutive years. 

Taponomics is also the first dojo to publish its BJJ course syllabus so that students can steadily learn and know what is needed for a promotion, and systematically monitor their own progress.
